Emmanuel, known as quattro on WatchProSite, presents the MB&F SP ONE in platinum, a timepiece that challenges his usual preferences for openwork and modern aesthetics. His post delves into the watch's specifications and design, inviting the community to share their impressions of this captivating creation. This discussion highlights how even seasoned collectors can be drawn to unexpected designs from innovative independent watchmakers.

I'm not usually drawn to openwork watches, nor to MB&F's very modern aesthetic, but this platinum SP ONE is wonderful.

The purest of all MB&F watches? In any case, I'm captivated.

What about you?

Best, Emmanuel

It has the Vincent Calabrese / Corum vibe in a round instead of rectangular aesthetic for me πŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

And the triangular movement architecture is wonderful, imo. Best, Emmanuel

It feels kind of generic to me. Felt the same after trying one out.

but I guess it's a sign of the fact that I'm not truly into MB&F: the one I end up liking is the generic one! πŸ€·πŸ½β€β™‚οΈβ˜ΊοΈ Best, Emmanuel

Mb&F must be crazy, this is too elegant!

But all of a sudden something happened on my iPhone and my post got wiped out. My favorite is probably the LM101. I just bought this rose gold mark 2 version yesterday: I love the big balance wheel and the floating white dials. Just a great and distinctive aesthetic and very wearable even with that tall dome crystal. Best Gatsby
