Small-luxury-world presents a captivating photo essay on four bespoke Kari Voutilainen Chronograph II watches, offering a rare glimpse into the pinnacle of independent watchmaking. This post delves into the meticulous craftsmanship and personalized details that define these exceptional timepieces, reflecting the discerning tastes of their owners. It underscores the profound dedication required to create and collect such high-complication watches.

This time there have been more people than watches, once more it happened in a restaurant & bar ... all of the watches shown have been discussed here before, but I still want to share some pictures I had the pleasure to took and my thoughts.

The four watches shown belong to gentlemen which I know for quite some time, they reflect their personalities (in a way) and their collection´s/latest watches.

To me they represent the "champions league" of watchmaking. Bespoke chronographs (one of the most challenging complications if you take it serious) with outstanding finishing. Could it get any better?!

The amount of time invested in those pieces was amazing (from what I have heard), by all the people involved in the project. Not to mention the attention to details by all and the difficulties to take final decisions at the end by the ordering parties.

None of those watches would (probably) have been ordered like this in their early days of collecting.

Each is a beauty for itself, even when I have a small preference for one. I won´t tell you which one, but the owner knows it smile

Without further talking, have a look and I hope you can appreciate them as much as I did.

Pure watchmaking heaven, isn´t it? smile

Oliver

These are fantastic -- thanks for posting (and for waiting a bit until other photos could appear -- I do very much appreciate it)! I like the two-tone dark dial myself :-) (not my watch, I should point out!). Best, Gary G

Huge huge fan of KVs work, thanks to all the great shots from the Purists! What size is the dial?

...if memory serves, is 39.5mm. Don't have the watch on hand at the moment to measure the dial itself... Best, Gary G

I think I would save the black one, but it would be like Sophie's Choice for the rest of my life. Regards, Jon
