After 14 years of collecting, Speedie74 (aka Mr. Torquise) shares his inaugural Hublot acquisition, a Big Bang Unico in titanium and blue ceramic. His post delves into the design philosophy and material innovation that define Hublot, prompting a discussion on the brand's evolving perception and its place in modern watch collecting. This article explores why this particular reference resonated so deeply with a seasoned collector.

I’m with you on Biver, that’s one guy who could sell me a watch and sell me on a watch. As I commented on Thomas’ posts, I’ve been Hublot curious the last few years too, and specifically the Unico. We will see where that goes, although I feel the time and environment for a watch like this for me is not right. I am not sure I’d be comfortable wearing it out and about. And I’m already taking pause on where I’m wearing watches I’ve owned for years so adding another only to live inside would be sill
understood your concerns. I think nowadays it is true for almost every brand: you can’t wear safely your watches in public, especially the bling-bling watches. And Hublot is not a shy person. But now it is a common phenomenon, unfortunately. I am also not a great fan of the celebrities, “Insta-Stars”, who are frequently wearing Hublot watches. I am with you with every other sentences what you wrote, thanks for your comment!
Took me a while too. Now I can’t take it off Perfect 42mm for me.
Michael. The same model was also on my wrist but I found it too blue and a bit little on my arm…
👌👌I understand. Enjoy yours , a beautiful watch for sure. I want a white ceramic one, but I know my wife will confiscate it. Lol .
Superb Hublot and I enjoyed reading your thoughts on the brand. I hope you continue to enjoy it and make many happy memories.
