Last week I dropped a short teaser with you, today I will reveal a bit more on a watch that I am deeply impressed with.

The Hentschel H1 Chronometer is a 39.5mm watch, housing the inhouse calibre HUW 1130 Premium. This movement was developed by Andreas Hentschel and his team based on the historic AS 1130.

I'll elaborate more on this movement in a future post. For now let's turn over to the side view of the Hentschel H1:

The case is available in either steel/white gold or bronze/red gold. The bronze Hentschel uses does not build patina as you know it from other watches, it is based on a special treatment known from ship propellor bronze.
The H1 is also available in platinum for those who like an elegant watch with some more heft ;-)

The domed sapphire crystal features a double side anti reflective coating.

The slighty domed cream dial features arabic numerals and a large small second. As an alternative the H1 is available with platinum grey or anthracite dials.

The beautiful hands are correct length, the minute hand is curved to work in harmony with the domed dial and crystal. If you prefer flame blued hands, those are available as a option.

Let me finish this first glance with a couple of additional photos I had the chance to take today.

Hope you enjoyed!

Cheers
Henrik

Elegant but in my opinion would have looked even better at 37mm and the movement would have filled up the case more completely!

All Hentschel watches are equipped with ETA900 movement and are therefore priced quite reasonably.
