Henrik, known as shortys home, introduces the Hentschel H1 Admiral, a timepiece that showcases the independent German watchmaker's commitment to in-house manufacturing. This article highlights the H1 Admiral's unique design and the advanced 'Werk 1' caliber, emphasizing Hentschel's dedication to traditional craftsmanship in Hamburg. His detailed presentation offers a valuable look into a lesser-known but highly respected brand in the luxury watch community.

With great pleasure I can introduce the Hentschel H1 Admiral to puristspro today.

It is actually way more than a pure variation of the H1 Chronometer. The Admiral is powered by the calibre "Werk 1", the absolute top movement Andreas Hentschel offers, handmade in Hamburg, featuring a beautiful three quarter plate and limited to the top level watches Admiral, Inselchronometer and the 1877. I intend to dedicate a separate article with respect to that movement in the near future, for now here is a first visual impression:

The H1 Admiral is available in various materials, the two watches shown are made of age resistant bronze. You can choose between a plain bezel or an engraved one, the red signature below the small seconds can be individualized. The case measure 39,5mm.

Now, since I mentioned this watch to be a maritime model, let me share some more thematic photos ;-)

And here are some a bit more casual impressions:

Hope you enjoyed the photo introduction of the beautiful Hentschel H1 Admiral, I know I enjoyed those timepieces during the photo shooting. And I look forward to telling you more about the calibre "Werk 1" soon ;-)

Cheers
Henrik

but my impression is that the movement might warrant a bit more tender love and care... Best, Magnus

... please understand the watches I had for photos are exhibition pieces from the store, they do not embody the movement decoration to it's finest degree. Hence I plan to cover the 'Werk 1' in depth separately. Cheers Henrik

And have to say there are many elements of the watches I like. May not be the biggest fan of the Sport version but overall I feel the watches definitely make for a welcome addition! Keep up the great work

Regarding the writing below the sub second dial, I have mixed feelings. On one hand I love the possibility to customise it and, on the other hand, it tends to slow down the dial. Well, a timepiece which should be see in real to have a better understanding of it. Thank you for these nice shots. Best wishes Alkiro

... although I personally just try to emphasise, not enhance, the beautiful aspects of a watch, in the way I see them with my spoiled eyes ;-) I get your mixed feelings about the writing below the small seconds. Good thing is, you can simply skip it if you wish... Cheers Henrik

Regarding the writing, if you can remove it, that's perfect! Best wishes Alkiro
