Hello everyone. I've been browsing the forum for quite a while now and really started to like it. So which watch is the best to introduce myself? The one I like most? That can change  day to day. The one I got last? Not much history behind it. The one I bought first? Not in my collection anymore (was a nice watch, but the proportions didn't fit me. 35mm does not work for someone, who is 6 foot 6). So I decided today, to go with the watch, that's been in my collection the longest. It's the second watch I bought, but due to the 9 month waiting time the third watch I got. It also marked my entry into independents. I loved the fact, that I could go to Kalbe, talk with Mr. Dornblüth himself about my watch and to get a tour by him around the workshop. These things made the diffference between buying "a" watch and "my" watch for me. Since that time, I've been attracted not only to the main brands, but also to independent watchmakers. Still love "my" watch today.

I've wanted a Dornbluth for so long but something else always seems to jump the queue. One day...

I actually think, that my wrist size is average, but I have a rather flat wrist, not a round one, which helps me with some bigger watches. The 99.1 is one of the largest watches I got, though.

Very glad you could join us in this crazy passion. It looks like your introduction watch has many dimensions and we are looking to learn more about your collection. Bill
