This personal account offers a rare glimpse into the life of an independent watchmaker, showcasing Don's workshop, his personal creations, and the warm hospitality extended to a fellow enthusiast.
I had a huge pleasure to visit our moderator, Don Corson at his place. Very nice of him to pick me up at the station with the very handsome sports car.
I had a wonderful time having lunch with his wife, and drank a lot of wine (for me), while he was to play at the concert that day later.....
Again, thank you so much for your hospitality and lunch and fun talk. Please give my best regards to your wife.....
Best,
Ken

Don came out from his sleek two-seater....

Pretty town....
His No. 6.

His workshop - and he is not even a watchmaker by profession. He is an engineer..... Does anybody have watchmaker's bench at home? I wish!!
He is working on his new watch..... Double....

And near lunch....

From right to left: His wife's watch (which he made, No. 3), No. 6, Kikuno, his daily watch (the first watch he made which worked), and mine..... His wife's black MOP dial is very nice....

Well designed back side, too.

Seeing it in action is worth thousands of words:
Thank you so much, Don!

Addendum: my other pics of the city

Thanks!
Ken
