His post highlights the intricate straw marquetry dials, a departure from previous enamel versions, and provides a detailed look at how these unique dials interact with light.

I think there is nothing more striking than the every day versions with the simple dials. Here, as of course the hand craft work is fantastic (and for me marquetry has been something I am really drawn to), there is some conflict between the hand craft and the single hand and jump hour. Contrast this with the Andersen Geneve Jump Hour, I think the special dials work better as there is no central hand. Thatβs my initial thought upon seeing these.
I like the straw marquetry dials very much and think these pieces are great rare handcrafts creations. But there's one thing I don't like about them: it's the brand name printed on the inner side of the dial, which makes a disturbing offset reflection. They should've gotten rid of it completely, imo. And, as much as I like these rare handcrafts creations, I still prefer the two 'regular' enamel dial models: rose gold/white dial and white gold/black dial. For me, this watch is all about apparent
are more striking when on a simple, great dial. Enamels and other designs like these really need to shine on a simpler dial. Also agree with Emmanuel that the logo is off there. This just confirmed for me why Moser makes the right choice on some of their pieces to forgo the logo entirely as it would look off.
I think I said everything in the first thread post about these beautiful watches, but interesting to see that I am not the only one that finds the printed on the inside L.U. Chopard and the subsequent ghosting on the dial are disturbing. Who knows seeing as these are relatively small runs Chopard my take on board these comments and feedback and deliver them sans logo or do it differently. Marc
some don't prefer one hand watches, for those collectors, this could be a reference that is not necessarily about time. Andersen Geneva reference is a stunning timepiece for sure.
than about contemplating the pure beauty of the watch face (and case, sometimes)!
