In this insightful post, als1678 showcases a Chopard L.U.C timepiece, highlighting its minimalist elegance and spectacular movement. He delves into the watch's contemporary appeal despite its vintage-inspired sector dial, addressing common comparisons to other high-end brands. als1678's perspective offers a valuable look at a watch that masterfully blends historical aesthetics with modern wearability.

Despite the vintage vibes of the sector dial it feels contemporary and can certainly be a daily wearer. When it was released some compared it to LF because of the dial. I don't think that's fair - such sector could be found on vintage watches and there are plenty of differences. Not to mention that beyond the dial the two watches look totally different.

...my only issue is the odd high-up placement of the seconds hand...

STUNNER! WOW! I’d go for that in a New York second. Great catch!

Beautiful execution, one of the best sector dial around. And going for what, $15,000 at the time this limited edition came out? It’s as good, or better, than watches going for twice the price.

Except swimming of course! But East river should best be avoided anyway ...

I do appreciate how they can always do something unique, whatever type of watch it is.

The design is so good - more people should have been able to experience it.
