elliot55's recent post with gorgeous photos of the white gold/white dial version of the Ferdinand Berthoud ref. FB 2RE (Remontoir d'Égalité) reminded me how much I loved the rose gold/black dial variant when it was launched. Enamel dial and, on the back side, fusee-and-chain transmission combined with a one-second remontoir d’égalité mechanism (caliber FB-RE.FC). The case is 44 x 14.3mm.

The exact reference number of this version is FB 2RE.2 and the reference number of the white gold/white dial version is FB 2RE.1.

And two other variants were launched later: rose gold/white dial (ref. FB 2RE.2-1) and white gold/black dial (ref. FB 2RE.1-1): cf. below.
