This phenomenon, where a dial's color transforms dramatically with light, is a fascinating aspect of horological design often discussed by collectors. ArmisT's observations provide a valuable perspective on appreciating the subtle nuances of luxury watch dials.

In the case of AP, khaki green is certainly interesting. Perhaps it was based on this dialβs chameleon-like character.π€ Nevertheless, thanks for your comment.ππ½
I find the chrono often goes grey, and the green you show is only revealed in sunlight. AP has a magnificent ability to a do a dial color in their own way.
One approach is see what color all the other houses are doing for green and make a different hue of green to stand out. The other idea is to make a similar hue of green to the other houses , which seems to be trending right now. Enjoy your day!
So yes, precisely as you say regarding the light conditions. This coloring wonβt come out without sunlight or boutique-level lighting. Without that it is essentially grey.
Thank you, I hope youβre having a great day too.ππ½
But I knew what I was getting, and appreciated its βhiddenβ beauty. Thanks for looking.
