Peter Fang (pfang56) shares his initial impressions and detailed photos of the Audemars Piguet Remaster02, a timepiece that has garnered significant attention for its distinctive design. His post offers a firsthand account of how the watch's unique attributes, from its case geometry to the multifaceted dial and sand gold finish, translate from renderings to wrist, providing invaluable insights for collectors considering this bold reference.

Just picked my Remaster 02 today - and I am absolutely thrilled. Honestly when I first saw the renderings I was not completely excited and clearly concerned about the size, but having a chubby wrist helps! Of course trying it in person really made a difference - everything from the case geometry, to the crystal, to the multifaceted dial, and to the sand gold - add to a really incredible package! My only gripe is still that it comes with a standard green box...

Anyway, especially after all the noise of the Cubitus, and

trying both on, really really over the moon with the Remaster 02. Hope AP can bring back more novelties from their diverse collection library!

Cheers
Peter

Trying the Cubitus in person made me cringe a bit - just didn't feel like a Patek! Thankfully spoiled by a 5712 and others. Cheers Peter

Congratulations and thanks for sharing it.. It looks like it might wear nicely on a right wrist (I'm a lefty).

Seems to me like the Code for AP - brands like Patek need to meet very high expectations on their new inventions. It is natural that we compare their new offspring to their most successful models. After all, this is what the brand stands for. On this level, neither the Cubitus nor the Code delivers. (Which doesn’t mean that nothing good can come from this in the future, to be fair.)

Amazing how the original was made some 80 years ago in the 60's! Peter
