I love Audemars Piguet's “Precision” dial watches.
I have highlighted one with teardrop lugs recently and several others in my thread dedicated to Observatory dial watches.
Here's another one which will be sold by Christie's in a couple of weeks.

I like the two-tone, steel and pink gold case.

The dial seems to have been cleaned, but I still find it appealing.

What about you?

here is another one -the 1942 for runner with the teardrop lugs of my 'metropolis'
Also, I personally don’t mind the dial being cleaned if don’t properly and sympathetically. A lot of times you see the minute track getting completely cleaned off and just left blank, branding get half defaced, or applied markers get put back on crudely. These make the dial so bad you wish it was just left alone.
I dedicated a whole thread to them: www.watchprosite.com AP has to revisit its past! Best, Emmanuel
great way to reimagine the observatory dial! Best, Emmanuel
And I agree with you concerning the restoration: if nicely done, it’s ok. The numerals here are very original and nice looking. Best, Emmanuel
Guess I need to start studying AP again! Thanks, Emmanuel 👍
