This installment highlights rare and historically significant pieces, including a 1937 yellow gold repeater and unique commissions for Gübelin. Following up on my previous threads dedicated to Audemars Piguet Minute Repeaters, here are four other ones.

You can hear these watches chime in the video below.

Previous threads:

Best, Emmanuel

A/ Simple yellow gold repeater with elongated lugs produced in 1937 and sold in 1957

B/ John Shaeffer Minute Repeater - Platinum case with yellow gold slider and case back

The minute repeating movement dates to 1907, it wasn't cased into a wristwatch until the 1920s

C/ Platinum piece unique for Gübelin cased in 1924

The trigger for the repeater goes from bottom to top

D/ Gübelin ladies' platinum Minute Repeater

Though absolutely tiny, the 8 ligne movement, with a diameter of only 15.6 mm, is a minute repeater

I think it's funny that if you asked most people that are even slightly into watches and you mentioned AP the vast majority would say they know of the Royal Oaks and possible now the Code 11:59 and have no idea as to why AP are part of the holy trinity or why. Forget about them knowing virtually anything about their rich and storied history to most I would say they are defined by the Royal Oaks and that's it. Marc

Good stuf. The AP minute repeater gold toned i seen you posting a couple of times. The crown gently sunk into the case, made in 37, sold in 57. Sorry for the stainless steel AP’s or white golden?, squared shape. I wil be back to view the video later these days. Regards, LA51.

I think that their catalog of previous pieces has some wonderful designs. I really wish they would stop issuing an RO in its 1,978th version and instead go back to the catalog and do an update and refresh of those pieces.
