AndrewD's post offers a captivating look into the Audemars Piguet presentations at IGOTT2, a significant event for luxury watch enthusiasts. His personal reflections on the brand's history, the P10 Anniversary watch, and the 2011 SIHH releases, particularly the Millenary 4101, provide valuable insights into AP's offerings and community engagement. This article highlights the emotional connection collectors have with Audemars Piguet and the excitement surrounding new releases and historical pieces.
Audemars Piguet has had a long relationship with PuristS and the AP presentations on Day 1 of IGOTT2 were the more emotional for me. Mr Martin Wehrli, the “Godfather of AP”, spoke of the history and evolution of the company and presented the P10 Anniversary watch.

The new releases from the 2011 SIHH were also on display, including the Millenary 4101, which I still (after seeing it in the metal) think looks superb. Little details, like brushed and curved surfaces on the case, are not immediately obvious, and they add to the appreciation of the watch. It is a large(ish) watch, but the oval case shape sits on the wrist beautifully. This could be my first AP …

Many participants were wearing AP’s of course, and I snapped a few in the crowd …

What to say? Seeing them all together was a very pleasant experience. The P 10 is a superb watch, with a very interesting decoration of the rotor, including what I'd call a secret Purist Signature, and an attractive combination of colors on the strap and case / bezel due to the moderate use of tantalum. And the RO PC is just one of my favourite... PC, in this skeleton configuration. Candies for the eyes. Thanks for bringing us back to excellent memories, Andrew. Best, Nicolas.
Great pictures. Would love to attend one of these days.
would anyone have any info on that one?
which would go to who?
Perhaps when the Exec team have recovered, there will be another IGOTT. There was talk in Vegas of Shanghai or Mexico in 2 or 3 years. So you would be most welcome. It really is an experience not to be missed. Andrew
