1. Have any of you had similar issues and if so, can it be resolved by a local watchmaker or does it need to be sent to Chopard (NY for me)
A. Any competent watchmaker ( with the right tools, test equipment and access to parts) can service a Chopard but in NY, without the 'mechanical watch culture' since 1960s, or access to parts and Chopard service specifications, would be risky NOT going to Chopard.
2. Have any of you dealt with the service center in NY? They claim a $325 service fee and 2-3 week turnaround.
A. If you have it as a written quote, go for it.
3. Anyone have recommendations on where I can find a bracelet?
For new, it has to be an authorised Chopard supplier....probably the service center you found.
For used, any flea market where you can find them...maybe........
I'm locking this thread as any personal suggestions should be by private e-mail or PM message.
Good luck!
