I have owned a Strike One for about six months. I will post photos as soon as I get a chance (and a better camera). The first impression is very positive given the size (not to large, not too small) and classic look. My wife, always a good judge of taste in appearence of a face finds this the most attractive of all the LUC faces especially with the three dimensional detail on the outside.
To the sound and the experience of living with a sounding watch. Well it really gives you a very different impression of time to have the passing of each hour marked. The sound itself is not loud but it is distinctive, a gentle chime that is actually very easy to hear even in the normal hubub of a busy business environment. You're not going to hear it on a train or plane but I could not imagine you would want to. On the other hand it is not so loud as to draw attention to itself. In quiet environments the sound is actually very striking (!) with overtones and richness.
So in summary while this may be only the first step on the path to a grande sonnerie it is a distinctive and valid one and truly a watch you can wear every day and by so doing interact with the passage of time in a new and different way
