Friends, Despite a sinking viral upper respiratory illness, we made a trip to Amsterdam. Having changed aeroplanes and been in transit at Schipol airport for decades, we've never been in the city. I've been trying to visit the canals of Amsterdam for 40 y...  

but maybe they should! This guy just missed going into a canal. Cazalea ...

How did it end up pointing the wrong way on pedestrian walkway leading to the Maritime Museum? I blame the inevitable bicycle terrorist that got away! MTF

I.e. they seem to be automatically right in almost any traffic crash (with pedestrians, cars...). A great city for sure, wish to return soon!

I had bigger and better plans to explore Amsterdam with the Chopard Superfast but the rain and bugs scuppered best laid plans. Still, what we did see was very nice indeed. I survived a few assassination attempts by the Dutch Bicycle Ninja. The raw herring...

With only 800,000 citizens, AMS is a small city but the 19 Million visitors per annum make for crowded everything. We went in a cold, wet, week but still could not get into some restaurants. Apart from the raw herring sandwich, bitteballen fried cheese ba... 

To crowded for me . There are better cities to visit in holland nowadays imo . I moved out of Amsterdam 15 years ago and wont go back anymore . Cant tell if the Beers taste diverend in holland as i dont drink beer 😬. Next time i will pick you up and bring...
