Chopard

Wow..that's a tough question...

Hi HW

For your first question, I doubt it will happen with SS for now.  However nobody can say for sure about the future.

For your second question, I would like to borrow the nominated list of this year Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Geneve  to present an objective perspective.  Please observe the categories they were grouped in and the companies they were with.

As for the question about value, it is subjective. Your value and mine are different.  That's  one of the reasons people buy different watches at different time of their horology appreciation journey.  To me, the L.U.C Chrono One is of more value.

I've seen the new Da Vinci Chronograph. The casing is very well-made and has a lot of details after hearing Guy Bove's  (IWC 's Creative Director) presentation. The Chronograph readout is easier, however I still prefer the conventional layout.  One part I don't like is having a round calibre into a tonneau or turtle shape casing...well, this is also personal preference.

So do take a look on both pieces, try them on before deciding.

Regarding retaining value, I'm no clairvoyant smile.... it's up to supply & demand plus aggressive marketing....however, the intrinsic value must be there to be sustainable.
