A two day visit to Chopard.
I was lucky enough this Summer to have a visit of both the Geneva and Fleurier manufactures of Chopard.
Kong has done a much more complete report here on the forum but I did want to share some of my scans and impressions of a
wonderful group of people that make some extraordinary watches. I received my tours under the hospitality of Mr. Daniel Bolognesi, the Responsable Horlogerie of Chopard. It was a delightful two days and the stay at a local Inn was simply perfect.
Here are my scans with a few comments, please enjoy.
The cases are made on site in Geneva, using the metals we all love. Nice to see so much gold in one place!

A trip to the museum for a few shots. A big event was coming, so limited pictures that day. The museum is a thing of beauty.

I would also like to thank Pamela Perez for an excellent tour of the Fleurier facility and taking time from her busy schedule to take
me up and down the facility and fill me in on everything Chopard. There is a real sense of place in Fleurier, not the hustle and bustle of Geneva, but a nice country, artistic feel in the town and at the hotels and restaurants. The people are all so friendly and the local food is excellent to say the least. There are very few places I have ever been that I have felt so welcome.
Thanks again to Daniel Bolognesi and all the people we met, had wonderful talks and enjoyed immersing ourselves in truly exceptional watches in all states of manufacture. It was an honor.

the attention to detail is extraordinary. It was also fascinating to talk to the watchmakers and see the variety of skills they possess in the process, really an artistic feel to watch making. The craft of watchmaking echoes throughout, very captivating. ...

Very peaceful, very fresh air too. I can say, for us to go over there, we should feel a surge in energy. Cooling. Don't see anyone on the street till lunch time and then quiet till about 4pm. These posts have some pictures on the way to Fleurier for my vi...

Personally, I have to admit that I would prefer if Chopard can pay more attention to the design of the dials on LUC series. From friends, the common comments:" beautiful movement but the dial..." Regards Ling
