Michael,
We already discussed privately but still you want to post this in public; so be it.
I am going to Keep It Simple using the K.I.S.S. principle:
Chopard as a company, did NOT command nor insist to delete your photo.
A PR person noted that it would be appreciated if their products (it does not matter if L.U.C or not) is not featured on the world wide web with firearms.
We have had this with other brands before.
Generally, many luxury brands prefer to minimise the risk of misappropriate use of your isolated photograph, without your text explanation to keep the context.
Once its out there, you have no control.
I made the executive decision to place your photo post "On Hold" overnight, hoping to discuss with you when the USA waking time zone came round.
Any issues that you have were with me and we have already discussed those privately, many times.
The ambiance at PuristS forums is like an amiable cocktail party where social norms of politeness and respect for the host and guests apply.
There is no need to go out of your way to join the party only to be discourteous and insensitive whilst sowing bad vibrations.
I expect this from all guests and especially from my moderators.
We lost the LOCK thread utility so I am keeping this thread open.
I hope it is only a 15-min wonder and we can put it behind us.
Regards,
MTF
