Something new from Chopard.

Probably my favorite new release from 2024 : the LUC XPS "Forest Green".

It was definitely the sector dial and the beautiful shade of green that caught my attention.
IMO a near perfect mix of elegance with a touch of modernity.

The proportions are really great : 40mm in diameter with a thickness of only 7.2 mm make for a very comfortable wear on the wrist.

Lots has been said about the too central position of the sub dial for most LUC XPS models.
Somehow with this special sector dial I see this as a no issue : due to the various rings of this sector dial, the sub dial integrates well into the overall dial picture (at least for me) !

The 96.1 movement is as nice as ever before, ....including the typical rattling noise of the micro rotor smile)).

Very good detail finish with a COSC certificate : the accuracy is really good !

Overall very pleased with this new addition !!

Thanks for looking,
Gerard

I'm sure you know this but didn't mention in your description is the circular brushing in the sub dial and the radial brushing of the rest of the dial. I have a soft spot for green because it was my son's favorite color when he was very small. Congratulat...

Best LUC 3 hander imo

Agree with you that the sector dial solves the sub dial issue really well. Looks much better than the Qualite Fleurier.

I don’t know. When I first saw the release the Laurent Ferrier came to mind. Perhaps it was the lug silhouette, small seconds, green dial. I certainly see a sportier watch with the LUC.

Striking !

Congrats! I love that shade of green and it pairs extremely well with the Lucent Steel. Thanks for sharing these drool worthy pics, enjoy!

Good to hear…

That all the x96 movements have a noisy rotor - so not only mine πŸ˜‚ Lovely and elegant piece but though the design does a decent job of trying to hide it - the movement would feel more balanced in a smaller case.
