Thanks for the chronological review.
On balance, I think version 4 is the best so far for the following reasons.
1) As the ultimate certification, the QF should be represented by at least one version that is classic, elegant, timeless and refined. Until now, there has not been a restrained QF Gentlemens' Timepiece: THIS is it!
2) The reliance on indices as markers obviates the argument about which font: roman or Arabic and the markers can be all "the same" in length and orientation.
3) The watch size and proportions are now near perfect.
4) Some may quibble about the words that abound on the dial, preferring fewer.
On the other hand, the distinguishing initials 'L.U.' mark this as from the special LUC range. The other words do inform the observer that this is better than a common-or-Garden "Superlative Chronometer" or COSC appellation. This is a Qualite Fleurier.
I accept the additional descriptive terms as they make a difference to the ultimate value of the timepiece.
Regards,
MTF
