Love at First Sight - Chopard Jacky Ickx Limited Edition 4

May 07, 2011,23:42 PM

Hi to all. Always have been a chronograph watch collector, and when I first saw the Chopard Jacky Ickx Limited Edition 4, fell in love with it instantly. I went to our local Chopard Boutique & realised this watch was released a few years back and my chance of getting one new is slim. I was thrilled within just a few minutes after visiting the boutique I found one in a watch store not too far away, and of course without delay, I must take "her" home.

Luck on my side, the watch comes with a good number out of 1,000 pieces. It comes with a beautifully presented Chopard leather strap and within days I managed to locate the "Dunlop" tread pattern rubber strap, which perfectly fitted to this racing chronograph - the perfect match. This watch is my perfect chronograph, big date display, flyback, screw down buttons and the 24 hours counter, an exclusive with chronograph watches to date. The movement may not be LUC but the watch itself surpasses all other chronographs in my collection. Here I would like to share some photos of the watch with readers taken with my point & shoot.

Welcome to our Chopard Forum, and thank you for sharing your new Jacky Ickx IV with us. This piece is well priced for the Mille Miglia price with several cool features - firstly the Flyback function and the 24-hour counter! You can use this for second-tim...

Thanks for the comments. I will try another set of photos soon for you. I collects many types of chronograph watches but not necessarily different models from the same brand. The reason I selected this Chopard model is simply because of the three exciting...

look forward to your pics, Ian. Not sure if you were told about this Jacky Ickx LE4, is supposedly to commemorate with the 6 victories Jacky Ickx won in the Le Mans 24 Hours race (Grand Prix of Endurance and Efficiency). Kong

Hi Kong, as per your request, I have taken the photos showing the chrono buttons in open & close position. Yes, I am fully aware of the background to this watch. It's a feat not easily accomplished to win Le Mans 6 times in any racer's career. Who knows, ...

Thanks Ian ...

for both the pics with the pushers alternately locked. Indeed it is a superhuman feat to win 6 times of Lemans. Ping us if you are entering a race! See you around. Kong

Very nice indeed!
