Thanks Kong for the mini-review.
I started with a L.U.C. 1.96 movement in the old 16/1860/1 classic model with diamond-shape indicators as you showed.
Then, a L.U.C. 1.98 Quattro movement in a rose gold version of the watch you showed

So, I can be classed as one of the "classic small" owners
The lack of numerals has been cited by the current Mrs MTF as being the only "aged" part of that dial design.
I definitely do NOT like the 'Tech' style and so a compromise between a classic aesthetic and more vibrant design may be this new identity for L.U.Chopard.
The crocodile skin on BOTH sides of the strap is a luxurious LUC touch compared to the usual cheapo calf leather lining for most of the other luxury brands. It is also better for perspiration against the skin and that f-e-e-l-ing of skin against skin.
I like the new LUC identity but as usual with taste, if you ask 3 people, you will get 5 opinions!
Hand shape, Roman vs Arabic numerals, Black vs White dial, etc.
I prefer a standard 38 - 40 mm diameter case but this Quattro can carry 43mm well with the case height being only a bit over 7mm.
As the old model is no longer in production, we should move on and discuss how to improve (if any) the current model.
Regards,
MTF
