I couldn’t agree more with you say about
the romantic side to this complication. And I would add that the jump hour complication of the Quattro Spirit 25 has a very similar charm: the hourly shutter-like click of the instant jumping hour disk, which is discreet but clearly audible whenever in a quiet environment, lets you know that a new hour is beginning. And, as the movement has hacking seconds and is COSC certified, it’s very impressive to hear the jump almost exactly spot on every time (I live near a church whose bell rings every hour and the jumping hour disk of my watch can be almost perfectly synchronized to it). I love that.
