Having this baby for more than a year now...
Sep 29, 2007,09:45 AM
Its a real bang for the buck! Its casing and buckle are real solid and thus quite heavy for its size...no suprise from Chopard who is an expert in jewelleries!
I chose this peice over the Fleurier...alright I know abt the greatness of the Fleurier movt but its dial simply do not connect with me. The dial is important to me as it is what I will be looking at most of the time...and the Mark III white sunburst with contrasting black/RG is simply gorgeous!
Other than the minute hand jump when pushing the crown in after time adjustment, I am very satisfied with it ! know the way to get around the problem
You can't really go wrong with this piece if you are looking for a good looking classic, value for money and excellent finished movement.
Btw Kong, will be most willing to show you this baby at the SWA on the 24/26 Oct. See ya !

Now I have to decide to wait and see if I can purchase one of these beauties or buy the LUC Sport 2000 I have had my eye on. What is the list price on this one in US dollars?
OK - I see only dial changes...

i.e. - applied arabic numeral markers, subsecond dial is now marked for each second, the finishing of the dial material is different to give better contrast compared to the top image. Why is it called Mark III when Mark II has not been released to the mar...
I'll reserve judgment until I can hold a finished piece in my hand
By: Dirk : September 27th, 2007-00:49
At first glance it seems more ostentatious, less restrained and elegant. From the photos, no improvement but as I have learned not to judge until I see the real thing, I very much look forward to seeing it "in the metal" once available. Cheers, Dirk
Hi Dirk, thanks for the observation..

I feel this is an important dial design change that Chopard needs to try. The typical 3 hands with a small second is really traditional classic look from the pocket watch dial design. Well, I could be the conservative type as I like the simple classic pie...
great choice

Wise choice, but either one is great. Are they in their 20/30s?
Hi Kong , new version looks much improved !
By: GH1 : September 27th, 2007-11:26
I like the seconds dial layout . The 2 tone dial looks layered and stands out more . The original version bothered me somehow as it seemed very flat . Like everyone have mentioned we need to see one to pass further judgement . One question ? Why do they s...
