Context is Everything
Ling,
Choice is the definition of Luxury, so your uncertainty about juxtaposition of Roman and Arabic numerals is fine.
The context of history and rationale for choices made are important.
For example, all Cartier Tank watch dials have Roman numerals.....why? It is the essence of the Tank family......even the chronographs.
Similarly, the Scheufeles took over Chopard and promised to maintain some familial codes. Paul-André Chopard continued working for a while at his honorary watchmaker's bench. The design codes of the time included Roman numerals that have been in the L.U.C. Classic range since. However, in the other ranges, all types of font and even plain markers have been used.

The Roman numerals on the Lunar One are iconic and distinctive. This watch won the PuristS' Purity Prize in 2009 and is part of the PuristS story.
Other font and markers have been used in non-LUC Classic ranges.
LUC1963 Chronographs
There has to be a family resemblance in the LUC1963 line of watches. The red hands and Arabic numerals are purely to separate chronograph time from plain time functions.
