Chopard's first sporty watch
wicozani,
Thanks for the blast from the past.
The St Moritz was Chopard's first sporty steel watch from 1980 and an early project of Mr Karl-Friedrich Schuefele when he joined the family firm.
They used good F. Piguet and JLC movements in those days before Chopard Manufacture was built in Fleurier and in-house movements once again produced by Chopard.
Good examples are sought after now that Chopard has re-established itself as a true Manufacture.
Nostalgia for the steel automatic sporty watch of the era is prevalent.
Regards,
MTF
