Chopard

And I certainly prefer to experience this experience :-)

Now, I do agree with your query as to how the noticeable scratch could be missed. I am not compelled to show the photo here, but it is obvious to the naked eye. I would guess that in order to scratch the crystal where it can be felt with a finger nail, a tool or screw or something metal must have moved across that surface. I really don't see another way for it to happen.
But, we are all human, and mistakes happen. I give them the credit for owning it and making it correct. Sure, I wish I did not need to send it back and have the entire watch again opened, re-cased, etc., but if they did not admit the error I would be stuck with the problem. And justifiably, the entire experience and attitude would be much different.
Now, I'm praying that when it goes back together everything is correct. I believe I have endured more than my share lately - the loose crown on the 15202, the failure of the 1858, and this one. So hopefully I am good for a while after the Chopard is back smile
