- Chronomètre FB 2RE.1 with a 44 x 14.30 mm white gold case
- Chronomètre FB 2RES.2-2 with a 44 x 14.30 mm rose gold case
As i prefer solid dials, the FB 2RE has always been my favorite Berthoud.

It’s that enamel one. In person it looks much better. The curved enamel dial is very, very cool in the flesh

The solid dial Berthoud, the ALS Richard Lange, and the 1921 are my all-time favorite time-only watches in a traditional case (meaning not including rectangular and other 'exotic' shapes)👏🙂↕️

The open dial design is a key component of FB but to me as well the WG solid dial with the PR on the back appeals more 🙌🏻

My preference would be for the one on the left.
I think it's utterly fantastic. Its dial is simple, yet the piece has a certain gravitas and an undeniable wrist presence.
I quite like the hollowed design, personally.

Those are both beautiful. The movements are, of course, amazing, and I love both dial approaches. I’ll tack on with two more. One a complex tourbillon, and one their simpler cylindrical hairspring model. ...

Absolute gorgeous pieces , hard to pick a favorite, always loved a open worked dial so i tend to go that direction if i was into the market for a FB2
Still would love to add a FB3 when possible one day 🙏🏻🙏🏻
The FB3 has the advantage of being far more wearable
