The exception seems to be with the contemporary design - the Tech Series including the tourbillons.

Somehow, some areas may not comply with the criterias.

To side-track, if you have a chance, just compare the value of a regular TWIST (in gold case) and a Tech Twist (SS).  For me, rational thoughts, with the price difference, the Twist is better value.  However, considering from design point of view, the Tech Series may be more appealing smile.

You have mentioned it...the L.U.C pieces carries some of the personality of Mr KFS, confident and under-stated.  If he is coming again to this region and have a small gathering, you should catch up with him for a conversation. A deep thinker and no-air.

The point about history is for story-spinning, except for the continuous and uninterrupted. And as you mentioned, it could be bought smile.
L.U.C though only ten-year-young, is a marathon-runner (as conveyed by KFS). It always look at long-term which will benefits not only the company but the owners too.  (In case you have time, please read the interview with KFS : chopard.watchprosite.com ).

After all said and done, I think it is marvelous to come out 5 movements within a short decade.

I haven't posted for a while but I just want to relate how happy I am with my new L.U.C. Mark III classic. At a time of inflated valuations, I think this is probably one of the best in terms of value for money. I'm also happy with the whole buying process...

The links doesn't seems to work. I would choose a TWIST anytime over a Tech Twist. Just don't like the asymmetric sub-dial at 7 o'clock. Doesn't it make reading more difficult? Especially the date. Karl-Friedrich Scheufele. I don't know him personally but...
