Fully agree that it’s a future classic and I like it better than the new version which seems bit less masculine.
The folks at Cartier really did a great job.
For comparison purpose I’ve put the “before” and “after” pictures below. If you zoom in you’ll notice it had many very fine thin scratches. Not disturbing but now it looks like new again.
The other good news is that the Full Service + polishing etc took very little time. Three weeks after I handed it in, I could collect it already.
That’s because Cartier has their own servicing and repair shop with several highly skilled and trained Cartier watchmakers, in the large boutique in Dubai Mall. Hence no need to sent it back and forth to Europe.
And finally again another thumbs up for Cartier: their invoice. I had expected the total amount to be a lot higher than what I had to pay. I won’t mention any amount (I belief such would be against the spirit of this forum) but it was less than 1/3 of what I had assumed.

A while ago I posted a thread that I had exchanged a CARTIER Santos 100 for a set of golf clubs The watch had pretty severe scratches I brought it to CARTIER for full service plus new strap. Unbelievable job it’s like new and I will wear it with great joy...
Thanks indeed they did great

And since I’m the only one in the family who didn’t have a Cartier, it’s a nice addition to our collection
Well done!

I actually prefer the heft of this Santos 100 over the current reference.
Thanks

Thanks but help me out here, what does “heft” mean?
You’re welcome :)

In my opinion, this piece is brawnier and has more wrist presence compared to the new Santos. I also like the thicker case. Congratulations!
Such a classic

I think many underestimate this watch. I owned one and regret letting it go now. I might just bring it. back to my collection. Looks brand new!
