Cartier icons
A couple of weeks ago I shared my reference 2413's recent acquisition here. I have been able to capture and now share again the dozens of tiny silver Cartier icons that fill the central area of the dial. Difficult to see in real life unless in direct reflected light, so they become very personal. No real need for the secret signature number X here! A change from guilloche? Did this happen with other Cartier watches?

Thanks. It was a bit of a hustle at the auction with my under-bidder taking his time deciding not to outbid me. Bad for my nerves but a win by a very small margin is very satisfying!
21 years old with its condition as good as "unworn". Must have been recently serviced though, because its battery is driving well with expected life of 2 to 3 years, or probably now a bit less.
