All books have it's limitations and specialities
But if one book should do the trick, I think it's 'Le Temps de Cartier'.
It contains everything, even some history and I feel that the book is more updated than
Cartier 'Jewellers Extraordinary' by Hans Nadelhoffer (T&H), printed 1984, that hardly contains any information on watches.
It could be that this book was updated, since it's publisher changed and is now available from Abrams New York.

The idea was just to show what has been published and is available, since not everything can be found straight away on the shelves in the bookstore. The books have so much history and interesting information. The subject of the post was may be misleading....

It depends where you are looking for
since most of the books are a bit specialized, in objects, or in watches, in jewels, in jewels and watches, or just Tank watches. The most all round book IMHO Le Temps de Cartier , it's about (mostly) watches, clocks and objects and my second choice would...

I like Hans Nadelhofer's book for a general history of Cartier. And the massive Cartier Collection weighs in at about 20 lbs but it is very interesting. - SJX

for a nerd like me, it's really necessary. 'The Cartier Collection', as you mention, is superb, but so heavy, almost impossible to handle. I had to take a taxi home, when I got the book. GEO
