Breguet 7137 vs 7337
Hello everyone:
I am in my final stages of determining between a Breguet 7137 and Breguet 7337. I really like both models and they are approximately the same price. I'd really appreciate your thoughts on both models compared to one another. This is my first gold watch and I want to make the best choice for the long-term.
Thank you kindly.
Gerard

Tough Choice
By: kahmed_ca : December 31st, 2012-09:09
Thanks, guys. I agree that pics would have been more helpful - I somehow couldn't find where to add them! I'm struggling here. LOL. Both watches are beautiful, and FX, so is the one you just proposed. I'm very slightly leaning towards the 7137 and like th...
My Thoughts
By: kahmed_ca : January 1st, 2013-12:06
LOL. No budget for both! And they are similar in any event. I went to see the watches again yesterday. I liked them both! The 7137 has a busier look whereas the 7337 is simpler and perhaps more user-friendly. It arguably is easier to tell the time on the ...
3137

I have a 3137 which is the smaller version of the 7137. I bought it because it was inspired by the breguet no 5. and also the fully engrave caseback. i have enjoyed it tremendously and i hope you will too when you choose the 7137
RE: Jeff's Response
By: kahmed_ca : January 2nd, 2013-12:26
Thanks, Jeff. I hear you. These points all make tremendous sense although I wasn't aware that a smaller in-set dial is more contemporary. The 7337's dial is indeed far more harmonious than that of the 7137 and has a generally cleaner look. I'm seriously l...
Symmetry

Breguet 7337. I prefer the symmetry of the dial. Except maybe the seconds subdial, it off centre. But its more symmetric than the other modell. Symmetric dial usually work. ...

Thanks for this. I tend to agree with you that symmetry is harmonious and aesthetically-pleasing. That said, there is a trend towards assymetric-type displays as well. Different strokes for different folks I suppose.
I got the 7337!
By: kahmed_ca : March 1st, 2013-16:11
Hey guys, thanks again for all your advice. I ended up getting the Breguet 7337 rose gold! I just got it yesterday. Took a while but it finally arrived. I'm quite happy to have chosen this model over the 7137 (although that would have been a great option ...
