congrats. Marine big date is s beauty As for the grime. An old soft bristle toothbrush and some mild soapy water. Roll up your sleeves and to paraphrase my dentist: "brush away from the crystal in circular motions". Enjoy the watch

... and having already tried just (slightly) warm soapy water I think I shall have to wait till I'm home and can grab an old toothbrush. Some muck has really gotten in between the fluting! Theres not much of it but whats there is quite obstinate.

So the rubber strap is still in good condition for a 11 year old watch? That's impressive quality. Wear it in good health and happiness. Luis6

the Marine on a rubber strap is always a great choice! Mine says Hi :) As for the coin edge of the case, as this is a steel case with a water resistance of 100m (if yours is not services for many years best to test the WR first), just bring it to the tap ...  

... I am definitely keen to pick up the navy blue strap. Although made for the blue dial version, I think its a great complement to the blued hands and numerals on the white too!

i love the breguet marine, esp. the type you have. the dial is wonderful and the display back has that gorgeous rotor. the band too is such a nice compliment. great looking watch. chris

I have the same but i bought a bracelet which enhances it even more.......the bracelet from AD in UK is £3140 but well worth it..........

... fairly attractive and nicely finished, I am not a huge fan of the overall combination. It takes too much of the focus away from the dial for my liking. I will stick to the rubber strap I think.
