Howdy everyone! I’ve been curious lately about the number of Tradition 7027s (in all three metals, and with the two dial color variants) produced over the lifespan of the reference (~2005-2018). Given that Breguet produced approximately 18,000-25,000 watches annually during that span, with about half being women’s models, that would leave roughly 9,000-12,000 “men’s” watches across all collections. The Classique and Marine are clearly more abundant (if the secondary market is any indication) and less technically demanding to produce than the Tradition, with its bespoke (non-Lemania, non-Piguet) movement and finishing, which leads me to believe that far fewer Traditions were made and sold in that timeframe (perhaps hundreds, maybe a few thousand, across each of the three metals every year).
Do any of you have an idea or rough estimate of the number of 7027s produced? I know there’s no way to be certain, but it’s an interesting question to consider (at least I think so!). Let me know what you think, any information is welcome! Cheers 🍻
