But not my cup of tea; vintage has lots of intrinsic 'value' that sometimes far surpasses my expectations.. Great looking watch though! For me a black bay bronze seems more suitable

Agree. Vintage is gorgeus but prepare yourself with thesurprise, the patience and the money for everything that comes with age.
I can think of many other things to spend that money on.
A vintage watch is not one of them, I don't care how rare or what the story is.
Hodinkee are pretty keen on fact checking
However I think there are people that would disagree. They do appear to take claims about what they sell very seriously. I'd bet that this was correct, at least as close to correct as reasonably possible. I don't think they'd mislead anyone in their shop ...

I think that 65K for this watch is quite a lot, although I briefly just read its story in the shop. Otherwise I don't think that Hodinkee freaks its customers, especially at those levels. Anyway I would not buy it for such a huge amount of money. Best

Hands set looks like from the lower diameter FF. Dial, i think, should be a milspec one... No way, IMO

Look at what is written on the back: Blancpain... MILSPEC. So... It should come with a Milspec dial, like this one: Inside, the movement is the AS 1700. 1361 only for the US NAVY dials. The hands are not good, either. It is not the first time I see a Bron...
