Yes, the engravings on the case backs are really different.

 

The AM doesn't have- as the TR 900, by the way- any case number, but a serial number.

The movement of the TR900 has some special features, like these " copper " wheels, for the amagnetic purposes ( I guess ).

As for how many AMs were made, I know only 4: The 38, the 57, the 103, and one with a scratched case back ( I can't read the number, but it is a real AM ).

I guess a few others are stll buried or hidden in private collections.
