I have changed my philosophy on dive watches recently, and will only own what I can make waterproof. Thank goodness, otherwise a Fifty Fathoms would be causing my bank account to empty. Looked at a local "Polish" FF once...too many fakes to take the plung...

Your post got me thinking, so I found an old advertisement for the Tornek-Rayville. In addition to mentioning 400 feet and self-winding, etc, it also mentions it's non-magnetic qualities alongside the symbol I mentioned. The symbol for magnetic permeabili...

that's the reason why I love this manufacture. No other brand did so many different military and professional dive watches in one decade and has so less informations about them. Not only that it needs 3 lifes to find a Milspec but you also have to do your... 

They need some homework, researches, hence the difficulty to find a good and a nice one. But that's a pleasure, then, to find one. I share your point of view when you say that they are the most exciting Vintage Divers, I would simply add " among " the no ... 

outstanding Longines ref: 7150-1 and the to much underrated Benrus Type 1 Class A (what a pure beauty!!) these are next to your listed watches, my all time favorites dive tool watches ever!!! But, of course, nobody and nothing beats a FF !! ;-)...  

The Longines diver and the Bnerus are a bit underated, compared to the others mentionned, but still are superb and great watches! You have nice taste, my friend. Is the Longines yours? Best, Nicolas

I found one last week (100% original and in 95% condition) in ebay but mistakly let it passed :-(( I am looking for this particular Longines for years already!

I just pulled myself up off the floor -- which is where this post sent me! Gorgeous, gorgeous timepieces. I think these vintage Fifty Fathoms are so strong, and have aged remarkably well. I know the watches are not contemporary but they still feel au cour... 

Now, you understand why I'm suffering each time I see a Vintage FF! When you look at all the Vintage Divers, these FFs are certainly one of the most appealing. A strong and charismatic look. Stay tuned, I fear I didn't end posting pics of them! Best, Nico...
