With military watches, dials were often replaced. First, radium dials lasted only 3 to 5 years. When they switched to only marginally radioactive compounds like tritium, dials were replaced again, and of course hands and from a logical point of view also bezels, if they were luminous. So a watch with a tritium dial could very well have been born with a radium dial.
