Both references use the F185 as the basic calibre, only difference is the modul for the large date in the 2885f.
The F185 is in fact a FP 1185 with the Flyback mechanism added.
The F185 is a column wheel chrono with vertical clutch, very sophisticated in it's design and functionality, but also more fragile than for instance a Rolex workhorse calibre. The movement is very nicely finished, it bears about 40 hours of power reserve.
A difference between those two watches is the diameter (40mm for the 2885, 38mm for the 2185). Also, the large date feature in the 2885 is remarkable: it is an instantly switching mechanism, other than most of the LD mechanisms you see with Lange or Glashütte which take app 2 hours to switch.
Hope this helps.
