Quiet evening
Enjoying a quiet evening, sitting outside, made a small fire, glass of wine.
Thoughts drifting away covering the stupid things I’ve done (took 5 minutes) then thinking about all the good things I am so grateful for (will take hours)
And wearing my favorite watch for an occasion like this: Blancpain Bathyscape Chronograph
The very first series came out with 500 numbered pieces only (or so I was told) and mine is nr 495
It’s the steel version with grey dial.
A super watch which I, despite fact it’s bit thick, wear very very often

... btw there has been no 500 pieces Limitation on any Bathyscaphe other than the Jour Date 70s. The two Ocean Commitment chronos has 250 pieces each, and the 2013 introduced Bathyscaphe basic model in ceramized titanium had only approximately 40 pieces p...

And thought so there was no limit. Yet mine is numbered 495. Would you happen to know if this number means anything? I mean can’t imagine they produce thousands and number every one ...

This version was the first Bathyscaphe Chrono made, and most importantly, the first watch ever to be powered by Blancpain's wonderful 36,000 bph chrono movement. So owning one of the very first ones is kinda cool, I guess. ...
