My latest : the Blancpain Villeret Quantième Complet.
More so than all of their divers,this is the one watch that I associate most with Blancpain.
A direct descendant of the watches that made myself (re)discover the beauty of mechanical watches in the 80ies of the last century when JCB relaunched the brand.
When this version with the blue sunray dial and the rose gold case was launched a couple of years ago it became an immediate favorite of mine and now finally it has entered my collection.
The overall execution of the watch (case,dial) is superb and truly high horology!
And a very friendly looking face in the moon.
The movement may not be the most spectacular looking but is of highest quality.

Finishing is on par with other high horology brands like PP,VC,Breguet,... and the accuracy is likely the best of all of my watches : during one week on the wrist the deviation was +2 sec ...for the whole week!!
And not to forget the very comfortable under the lug corrector pushers for the calendar functions.

Beauty. I love the way your eyes are drawn to the moon phase.
We do have a strong and automatic preference for looking at the eyes of a face. : )

Love this for the reasons you describe. The dial and MP disc are incredible. Those underlug pushers really clean up the case side. RG and blue are perfect 👌
