I can cofirm that this rare and sensuous lady is indeed in my hands since a few years now and the sentimental value it has for me is triple:
1. it comes from Nicolas, which is something we discovered only after I purchased the watch 
2. it is an amazing watch in its own right
3. since 3-4 years it is the daily beater of my wife, who takes huge pride to wear such a rare watch and with such a special prior owner - I've told her all about Nicolas who is a holy rockstar in her apprehension

I recall lusting after them when they were first released, but way out of my budget at the time.
Just came back from Blancpain NYC
...and the tropic strap will not be available until March! They told me that the Barakuda is a new watch and “parts” for it (the strap is a part) won’t be made available until March. Oh well, I guess I’ll keep it on the bracelet until then 😃
