FF bracelet (small review)

Saw and got several questions regarding the "new" bracelet and so I decided to share my personal impressions and some pictures.

Let´s start with a comparison between the "new" one and the "old-style" X-71 for the Ref. 2685F (Flyback Chronograph Large Date):

Both are very close to each other, show the finesse and the robustness which the X-71 is famous for, but are different if you go in to the details.

Probably the biggest difference (apart from the price :-(  ) is the closure:

The pushers on the old one have been fine for me and I never had any problem with them. Why they changed it? I have no idea.
To be honest I was sceptic about the new solution in the beginning. Once you get used to it, it works well.
Seems to be a little bit more robust and the new "butterfly" with spring feels good and looks nice.

As I am not a "technical engineer" I will stop with amateurish explanations and just show you some more pictures ...

The most important thing (apart from the look) is the feeling on the wrist.

How to explain: solid, robust, precious, smooth ... and it will be even smoother after a while as I know from my old ones.

To make it short: feels close to perfection, if it fits your wrist and the heavy weight is fine for you

When I bought my first BP with a bracelet (years ago) I never expected to get used to the weight of pure steel.
In these days I went for the rubber/steel version because of the lightness. Still like it, but things change and I also love my steel ones for what they are smile

As mentioned at the forum before, the asked price is close to be "prohibitive".

Did I regret it? No, not at all.

Oliver
