Blancpain Leman Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar 2625
Sep 12, 2019,13:24 PM
Hi All,
Love this site. Been a longtime reader and finally decided to post. While I have a variety of watches in my collection, I am a pretty big Blancpain fan and have collected several. The Leman has always been my favorite Blancpain. Love the styling, size, shape. The Leman 2185 Chronograph was the watch that kicked off this habit when I bought one many years ago. I have been collecting off and on in spurts for several years but I am always learning from this site.
I saw this watch my local jeweler and just had to have it:
A perpetual calendar Tourbillon. The Calibre is 5625. Blancpain has Calibre 5625A listed on their website but not 5625. Here is a picture of the movement:

It came on a brown leather strap with single deployant clasp
Here's a close up of the flying Tourbillon
This is my first Tourbillon so I'm pretty excited. The combination of a Leman with perpetual calendar and Tourbillon and an 8 day power reserve to boot was just irresistable. 38mm is kind of a sweet spot for me as far as size and that's exactly the size of this watch. Dial seems to be opaline and the case is rose gold.
This watch seems to be a bit of a rare bird. I have found one other on the net but overall very little information about it. Does anyone know how many were produced? Years? Blancpain lists Calibre 5625a on their website but not 5625. Any idea of any differences? Any information about this watch would be super helpful.
And finally, the obligitory wrist shot.
