Blancpain

2185f vs 2885f?

Hi all,

I'm new here.

For some time now i have been looking for my next watch to add to my small collection. Quite early on i decided it needs to be a chronograph and preferrably on a leader strap.

Since my other two watches are Rolex (is that a bad word here? ) the watch on top of my list is/was the Daytona. It fits my requirements and allthough stretching it, would be within budget.

And then i ran into the Blancpain Leman chronograph series... Now, as a Rolex guy i am used to abundant brand-, type- and calibre information on the internet. But this is less easy for Blancpain. it must be said, i havent visited an official dealer yet.

Online i run into the two major references, 2185f and 2885f. i know the latter has the big date feature and is in production today. But aside from that i know little abou the differences. I know that at least the 2885f has the column wheel configuration, but how about the 2185f?.

Bottom line; i would very much appreciate some more insight into the two.

Thanks!
