He gave it to us to help with our son's hospital bills. Our 5 year old has had 11 surgeries. We have been trying to save $ to move closer to the hospital (we drive 1.5 hours each way).
This is my father in laws way of helping but the more I find out about this watch the more I think I should get the $ through extra shifts at work and not from selling this. I've already asked my f-i-l if we could keep it and he said, "get as much as you can for it." I'm worried about keeping something so valuable (at least I think it's valuable) and I'd hate to sell it, hence the feeling conflicted.
Thank you for your input.

My father in law purchased this watch from his dive instructor in either '73 or '74. He wore it for a few dives then stored it away. Any idea what year it was made? Should it be in a safe deposit box? We're a bit conflicted on what to do with it. Any info...
Worth?

Any idea what it's worth or what we should do with it? My sons are young and really want to play with it. If it's worth money I feel like we should put it away as an heirloom or sell it. Any suggestions. I love the history of this watch, so rich!

The last one I saw that sold of this vintage went for $1850 on eBay. A little cleaner. There is one currently for sale on a European website for $2100 and I am seeking info on it. Because I am actively looking for one of this vintage to wear I would be in...
